Always great food, always busy and a longer wait than usual

Very good, very tasty chicken and cashew nut dish, with the largest variety of vegetables l have ever had in the one Chinese dish, l can recommend Lims.

Amazing food, even better service!

We had the banquet between 10 people but is was very poor value as the serves were only enough to feed 6 or less, resulting in little more than a taste of each dish. Quality was good but best not to have a banquet

Good size but price was a bit high considering I ask for extra prawn and you charge nearly five dollars extra four five prawns

I ordered chop suey as a take away. It was very watery and the predominant vegetable was bamboo shoots. I did not find this dish value for money.

We enjoyed our meal here. Great food, tablecloth service, pleasant music, friendly and prompt service, fair prices and open late.

Visited Lims today, being a weekday I did not expect it to be si crowded. We were attended in reasonable time and the staff were very good and attentive. The food itself was average. We ordered a chicken prawn pork sweet and sour combo, which had way too sweetness and if not mistaken then food colouring as well. The fried rice was ok but the ginger fish was good. Portions are average, two average eaters can share one rice and gravy.

It waa recommend by friends and it's really good food for very good price. Fully licensed, they have good variety of beer and wine for reasonable price.

went here just on a whim when we felt like local chinese food and were extraordinarily impressed! the sizzling dishes were incredible, the rice, the chicken and sweet corn soup, oh man. all of it was so worth it. you can tell they've perfected the place over the 40 years they've been around.

I’m really not that fussy but I would not recommend it to anyone the chicken was stringy and dry squid was not cooked properly would not be going there ever again.

We have just arrived home from Lim's. I mentioned it was a special Occasion for our 44 wedding anniversary. Mr Lim sang "For they are jolly good fellows and made us feel very special. The food was great and the staff were as friendly as ever. Thank You for a Great Night. Cheers

Have been going to this restaurant for nearly 30 years, this is one of the very few restaurants, that never disappoints. Always friendly & the staff make you feel special. Try the tropical fried rice as a side dish. Flavours are unique.

Size of dish was terrible. Full of lettuce and cucumber. Not sure how this fit to Chinese cuisine. Chicken was like it sat out for 2 days. Would not recommend this place at all.

Service is good. Friendly staff, food came out quite fast. But serving is very small and expensive.

The only reason why I'm giving it a 3 is because the banquet is not worth $43 per person!! (Spring roll!! Ice cream and tinned fruit)But it's has great food and the best service.

Lovely people, great service and help with choosing the meal. The food was clean and tasty. Next time might go with a larger group and try the banquet.

Its so delicious. Two main and large fried rice are good size for two people.

Food was good although banquet portions small. For $46/head and with 3 out of our 7 being female, I didn’t expect to run out of rice after the first 3 courses. After asking we did get given extra. Drink service was also slow. We booked for 6.30pm and left at 9 as we had two little one with us with desert still not served. I suspect it was just a bad night or they had staff away as others around us weren’t happy with the wait. Read more reviews before making a decision.

Ginling Chinese is a way better place they are on Marion Rd near Raglan Avenue. Go there everyone.Ordered a special rice and satay chicken take-away.The large size we asked for is the what you would expect a entree to be in (small rectangular plastic containers).The satay container was half chicken and the other half was raw white onion!Rang to complain; the Man that answered the phone said this is how it always is. I said "So what, that doesn't mean it's OK, it isn't good enough, do you know how cheap onions are, this cost me $30". I asked for a new one to be made with more chicken. He said "it will cost extra". No customer satisfaction is practiced. The guy i spoke to has no idea. I run my own business and would never neglect to look after a customer. Never going back. I'm now going to get more food because I'm still hungry.

We dined tonight without a booking there was 6 of us, great service lots of humor by the staff, and the food was amazing, just don't ask how big the rice is. 😂

You can tell they been in business 40 years. Service a tad challenging, but food and atmosphere terriffic...as is mr. Lim 😀😀😀

Honestly the best Chinese I've had! Both food and experience! My Nan loves the place and introduced us too it (such a friendly atmosphere and the staff even personalise it all, razz you up sometimes and have a laugh with you too!) Well worth your time :D

The problems I had was under the chef's suggestion the crispy lemon chicken wasn't crispy at all. And I wasn't expecting mini spring rolls.

I recently moved to Glenelg and was craving Chinese takeaway so I googled and decided to go with LIMs Chinese and omg I don’t think I have had such good Chinese food in years. And we ordered 4 dishes, sweet n sour pork, honey chicken, garlic prawns (the prawns were massive) black bean steak and fried rice! And we ate it all it was that good! I highly recommend!!

First time patrons & we were very impressed. We are Queenslanders & came with our SA friends Peter & Colleen & had a very enjoyable evening. The food was really nice. Good size serves & the staff were extremely pleasant. Value for money - yes.

Well executed retro Australian Chinese cuisine, good service and reasonably priced.

So bad...spring rolls and chicken satay for starter. Both obviously bought in as frozen - spring rolls had absolutely no filling and were just under cooked fried stodge. Mains....really salty with not much flavour apart from that. We just felt ill and thirsty after. Even the prawn crackers were stale. Every single dish was just really really bad.

Undoubtably one of the best Chinese restaurants in Adelaide. The staff are friendly and helpful. The foods are fresh and tasty. The owner is engaging and likes to have a chat. You will be guaranteed a great night here.
